REXBURG — It’s evening and a warm glow comes from the windows of the Palace Theatre. Music and laughter trickle from the open doors and the scent of roast beef lingers in the air as plates of piping hot dinner are served. Located in Chubbuck, the dinner theatre is co-owned by Jenna and Chad Davies. The couple officially obtained ownership of the Palace Theatre on November 1, 2019, and they've since made it a goal to dish up entertainment with good food.
Each main dish is prepared to order with a side of fresh greens, buttery rolls, and dessert. Guests who want to upgrade to a choice of shrimp or cheese plate can select the VIP experience. For those looking to book a room for a special event, there is a grand table with 18 seats available. Jenna Davies explained, “We provide year-round entertainment which is perfect for a date night, girls night, or a fun evening out!” The Theatre’s main venue is the Grand Hall, which can seat 184 guests. In the Grand Hall, customers have the option of dinner seating or seats to simply sit back and enjoy the show.
One of the goals of Palace Theatre is to create an environment where friends and families can enjoy the art of storytelling. This year, performances include "Winnie the Pooh Kids," "Finding Nemo Jr.," "Hades Town Teen Edition," and "Grease." Tickets sell fast, and Davies advises booking them while they last.
“Our shows are immersive,” Davies said. “Patrons enjoy a spectacle of entertainment from the lighting, stunning costumes, brilliant actors, and more.” A complete list of showtimes and ticket prices can be accessed from the Palace Theatre website here.
In 2024, the theatre expanded its reach by launching The Palace Conservatory, an after-school theatre program in Rexburg. Located at 54 Professional Plaza, it’s a place where children ages 8 through 18 can explore the world of acting, singing, and dance. Students performing in April will bring to life Frozen Jr.
Davies encourages, “Come and see these fantastic young artists!”
The program can spark creativity in the rising generation of performing artists.
Whether guests stop by Chubbuck or explore Rexburg’s after-school program, Palace Theatre is where stories come alive. Both locations promise the magic of live theatre and unforgettable memories—one spectacular performance at a time.
